Libyan police finds hundreds of bodies abandoned in hospitals

Tripoli witnesses fierce fighting after which hundreds of dead bodies were found unclaimed and left on beds and in the corridors of Abu Salim hospital.

The causes of these deaths were not known however, many feared they might have been killed during the clashes between rebellions and Gaddafi’s supporters. Local people were restless over disposal of bodies.

Violent fights between rebel forces and Mummar Gaddafi’s supporters forced the doctors and nurses flee from the hospital.

Many people also said the deaths were caused due to the massacre carried out by th Gaddafi regime.It is however, yet to be known how the deaths actually occurred.

So far, rebellions have faced fierce resistance from former president, Col Gaddafi’s supporters in their trial to enter his birthplace, Sirte, which has yet been considered as Gaddafi’s last stronghold too.

The rebels also said, are planning to capture Ras Lanuf, the oil port town and base their frontline from there so that they could escape from rocket attacks by the opponents.

The UK officials revealed that they plan to begin a missile attack in the night on Sirte.

There have also been some reports of clashes near Tripoli international airport, however rest of the city was in peace.

Surprises Springing Up in GOP Nomination

The political equation in the GOP party presidential nomination is taking a new shape with the entrance of Rick Perry the governor of Texas into the race. The political equation started changing when Michele Bachman won the straw poll in Iowa. The two Governor Perry and Bachman are closing in on the front runner in the race so far Mitt Romney.

The contest has now entered a new phase with the contenders Gov Perry and Iowa winner Bachman tackling each other and then challenging the front runner in the poll Mitt Romney. It appears that the duo of Perry and Bachman are working together, this is evidenced by two of them coming together in party dinner in Waterloo Iowa on Sunday. This is changing the phase of the nomination. Both candidates would be favoured by religious and social conservatives who have many influences in the primaries.

A lot of surprises are expected in the presidential election due in 2012. There are much disenchantment in the country as result of the poor shape of the economy and dwindling fortune of America as a world power.

The outcome of the straw polls in Iowa has forced Pawlenty out of the race and brightened the position for Bachman as the delegate from the place will queue behind her in the race.

Republican presidential candidates square party members in debate

One of the front runners in the Republican Party presidential election nomination Mitt Romney slugged it out with other presidential hopefuls of the same party in debate that was organized in Iowa Saturday. It was one of the toughest debates by the presumed front runner for Republican party in 2012 presidential poll in United States of America.

He had a very tough time with other candidates in the race Michele Bachman and Tim Pawlenty. The candidates debated on the different grounds they held on the way of turning American economy round. The debate which was televised live for millions of Americans touched on other issues of national life other than the economy. This debate was one of the most combative since the candidates showed their interests for White House.

The debate was conducted on Thursday just few days before another promising candidate for the election Gov Rick Perry announce his interest in the presidential race. It is expected that the entrance of the governor into the race will balance a lot of things in the race. His entry into the race is welcomed by cross section of party supporters.

The debate in Iowa was expected to favour the congress woman Bachman. It was not an easy race for her in Iowa as she had to fight to defend her positions against the other contestants for the race.

Deficit Panel Senators Named

The two parties in US senate have started naming the senators that would serve as members to the bipartisan committee to be inaugurated to tackle the issue American deficits. The first of such candidate to be named is Senator Patty Murray who is representing the state of Washington in the senate. He was named by the Democrat senate leader Harry Reid to co chair the committee.

It is expected that the Republican Party would name the other co chair of the committee as well as other members that would serve in the committee. The other senators in Democrat party who are named to serve in the committee include senators Max Baucus, who is the chairman of senate committee on Finance as well as senator John Kerry of the state of Massachusetts. The Republican was expected to name their own candidates to make up the 12 panel members.

The committee is to resolve the differences between the parties on the issue of deficit. They would look into the downgrading of US debts from AAA to AAA+. This is the first time the US debt is to be downgraded in history. The reasons for the downgrade was attributed to the political differences between the parties which made it difficult to monster the political will to address the debt issue in the country.

“Baby Killer” Released from Prison in Orlando

Casey Anthony who was found not to be guilty of the murder of 2 year old baby was released out of prison admist of tight security. She found innocent about two weeks ago after standing trial on murder charges. Crowds gathered around the prison where she was released on Sunday shouting baby killer. The discharge of the woman did not go down well with the people.

The woman has been standing trial over the death of 2 year old daughter Caylee. The acquital decision by the judge who handled the matter was criticized through out the whole country. The woman who released from Orlando prison was removed from the vehicle with SUV vehicle.

The crowd of about 100 people who had gathered at the place surged at the police barricade to vent their anger on the woman who was discharged and acquitted by court. The police in the city of Orlando had to block the streets where the woman has to pass through to prevent people from hurting her.

The 25 year old woman was later taken to her home town Ohio. Her trial was one of most celebrated murder trials in the country. But the jury found her not guilty at the end of the trial.

Obama Piles Pressure on Congress Over Debt Deal

president Barack Obama has mounted pressure to the Congress to pass the US multi trillion dollar debt deal. He said in a public statement that time is running for congress to pass the deal.

The president is carrying his campaign over the debt deal issue to the court of public opinions just negotiators are going with the processes that are expected to be concluded by August 2. The president is putting his hope on his aides whom he believed had the ability to convince congress to give approval for his requests. He is hoping that agreement will be reached before the deadline of August 2.

 

The president told the congress that time is passing, meanwhile the Republicans in the congress is planning to hold a vote this week on a legislation that that will peg spending to $2.4 trillion.

As things stand now the legislation would be defeated in the senate which is controlled by the Democrats. President Obama has also dismissed the planned voting by the House Republicans saying that they are not serious. He said that American people are interested in the issue of debt and budget. It appears that the debt issue has been polarized along party line.

Human Rights Abuses Clinton chides Turkey

The United States Secretary of State Mrs. Hilary Rodham Clinton has criticized Turkey over its slide in human rights. She also talked about Turkey taking action to enhance the secular tradition. Mrs. Clinton noted that Turkey support is very important to the success of American goals in the Middle East.

Mrs. Clinton condemned the arrests of journalists by the moderate Muslim country and also chided it for curbing religious freedom in the country. she said that the country had gone far in the observation of human rights and advised that the country should recommit itself to the goal of modernization and democratic values saying that Turkey should serve as an ideal to other Arab nations which are now facing situation of instability as a results of revolts. Mrs. Clinton who was addressing the press in the company of the Turkish Prime Minister advised other countries in Arab and North America to learn from Turkey experience stressing that stability can only come through responsible leadership.

She used the opportunity to urge the Turkish people to use the constitutional reform process to address other remaining issues about human right such as freedom of expression and religion and ensure the protection of minority’s rights.

Supporters of Syrian President attack US and French embassies

The crisis in Syria has taken another dimension with the supporters of the president Bashar al-Assad attacking the embassies of United States of America and France that are located in the capital Damascus.

The United States Department of State has already reacted to the development and accused the Syrian government of failing to protect its embassy. US government demanded compensation from the Syrian government although there was no casualty in the incident.

Workers in the French embassy were wounded when the supporters of the president attacked the embassy. Guards attached to the French embassy fired on the air to dispel the rioters.

This incident occurred after the ambassadors of the United States of America and France visited the restive town of Hama last week. The ambassadors of both countries visited Hama separately and they expressed their solidarity with the protesters who have being protesting to overthrow the government of President Assad.

This seemed to have angered the supporters of the president as they staged a protest at the embassies of the two countries. French government officials have said that 3 of the workers were hurt by the protesters. The French government described the attack as against international law. The spokesperson said that guard fired on the air to dispel the rioters.

Heats intensifies in Southern and Central and Southern USA

Heat intense in some states in central and Southern USA is on the increase. The worst of the increase is recorded in Dallas and Oklahoma where the heat is reported to have increased to 100 degree in the last one week. The situation could worsen as experts have warned that the situation could deteriorate in the days to come.

Most people could not control the heat by taking dip. Bad economy has caused some of the swimming pools in the states to short town because of the cut in budget. The intense heat situation has made heat advisories to issue warning of impending heat increase in the country. In areas like Hutchinson, the intensity of the heat has reached 103 by Monday after it hit 112 on the previous day. The situation in Joplin is like the other parts of the country where the intensity of the heat has reached 99 after reaching the figure of 103 the previous day. This is the first time the states have recorded such high incidence of heat since 1936.

The situation in Dallas is worrisome because the intensity of the heat has not abetted for the past 10 days. The worst is that there is little or no hope of rain coming down to cool the temperature.

Chinese Exports increased in June 2011

Chinese custom agency has released report on the performance of the country’s import and export trade. The highlight of the report indicated growth on both aspects of Chinese trade. The report indicated that the level of exports in the country grew by about 17.9 percent in June. This is also an improvement from what used to be the rate of export in the previous year.

The report also indicated the volume of imports in the country has increased to 17.9. The custom report further indicated that the country has a trade surplus of $22.3 billion within the period under review. This figure is more than trade surplus of $13.1 that was recorded in May.

The meridian economic forecast for the country was put at 18.7 it was further forecast that the level of imports for the country will grow by 25.0 percent. This will lead to a trade surplus of $16.3 billion. According to the data that was released by the custom agency the highest level of export that is attained in the country is February where the volume of export was 35.8 the least that was recorded in the year was January where 2.4 was the level of export.
